meghan + hunter’s wedding at the sullivan house, block island

A special snap commendation goes out to the handsome groom, Hunter… who broke his foot several weeks before the wedding. Hunter tossed aside his “boot” and totally brought it for photos. He never complained and managed to look happy and in love even though his poor foot was probably screaming! Now that is dedication. We appreciate your effort Hunter! Aside from an injured foot, the rest of the wedding was a dream… smooth as butter!

meghan + hunter’s rehearsal dinner at the spring house … block island, ri

Who wouldn’t dream of having a party on the patio of the Spring House on a warm summer night. Our favorite part? The globe string lights… oh, and the view… and rolling down the hill… and {you get the idea}. This was a perfect warm up to Hunter and Meghan’s amazing wedding day, coming up next…

robin + bryn’s wedding at the cushman house… block island

The first photo in this post pretty much sums up bryn and robin’s wedding. people traveled from far and wide for this celebration. Robin and bryn came all the way from geneva. Their friends and family made their way to Block Island {which is not exactly on the beaten path} from all over Europe and the US. Meeting robin and bryn for the first time, it was easy to see the qualities that inspire such dedication in their friends. Sometimes peoples hearts are so big that they just burst out of their every pore and robin and bryn are shining examples. Genuine smilers, excellent listeners, warm personalities, adventerous spirits, and funny funny conversationalists are just a few of the many traits we love about them.

alex + john’s wedding at ballard’s, block island

Warning: Extreme Cuteness Alert. The following story may cause gushing, sniffling, and even weeping. {You’ve been warned}.

Alex and John met each other in the summer of 1999. Alex was 12 years old and John was a mature 14. Fate threw them together on a sunny, summery day on a beach in Block Island while their families were simultaneously vacationing. They happened to set up their blankets on the beach right next to each other and Alex and her girlfriends developed an instant crush on John who was surrounded by his cute friends. Over the next 8 years, their family vacations continued to coincide and they continued park their beach blankets side by side. At night the two families would hang out together and the little crush grew into a big love. Alex took a chance and invited John {now in college in Florida} to her senior prom. he accepted and flew up to escort her. They started dating soon after. {Too many goosebumps to count right?}

Naturally, BI was the perfect choice for their wedding. As a surprise, John rented a house on the Block and proposed to Alex last summer- and now here we are! They’ve come full circle, married on BI, the place where it all started.
