lauren + adrian at the glen manor house, portsmouth ri … part one

it’s true that girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice, at least in the case of the lovely lauren. a sweeter bride may not be in existence… and her reward for such an amiable personality? how about a devoted and doting husband, thank you very much. lauren and adrian did not have the sunny skies they may have been picturing.  in fact, the cold wind and rain pretty much drove us inside for every photo. fortunately for us, the glen manor is the perfect place for a rainy day wedding… it has endless elegant nooks for formal photos. combine that with the great attitudes of this couple and their bridal party and you have the recipe for some creative photo-ing. we had some help of course making everything pretty. stoneblossom was on hand for the bouquets in the hydrangea palette and table arrangements of blues, greens, and ivories. blackstone caterers did an amazing job as usual, and katie at the glen made it all run super smoothly (as usual). because i know you’ll all be wondering about lauren’s unique necklace… it was a gift from her in-laws, it is a chinese custom for the  parents of the groom to present the bride with jewelry to wear on the day of her wedding. the necklace and bracelets really added a layer of wow to lauren’s already beautiful self.
