it’s always fun to photograph the rehearsal and get to know the key players a little bit. in this case, i had never met alex because he lives in texas, so naturally i was excited to meet lucy’s other half! of course i liked him immediately, something about that beard… although, lucy tells me she has only seen alex’s teeth a handful of times in all the years they’ve been dating. apparently he’s more of a smirker than a toothy grinner. luckily, i have the whole weekend to work on him so we’ll see if the teeth make an appearance or not! via matta is a lovely restaurant in the back bay with delicious italian food. i especially enjoyed their open air sidewalk cocktail area and super friendly wait staff. it was the perfect evening and the perfect kick-start to the wedding weekend in boston!
