photos by mariah and trish:
we made our way out to watch hill ri for the wedding of katie and peter last week. watch hill is a cute little resort town right on the ct border, if you’ve never been it’s a fun day trip. this day was perfection, blue skies…sun…a lovely setting. we only encountered one teensie problem as we arrived, extreme blustery-ness. normally a little ocean breeze is not a big deal but this wind was a swirling veil mayhem monster, which promised to blow us and the bridal party right into the Atlantic. a little quick thinking on trish’s part and we had found some alternative photo-ing spots that worked out beautifully and protected every one’s carefully constructed wedding hairdo’s. although it may have felt like a mess with blowing hair and veils it kind of made for some fun photos. we couldn’t really go wrong with this recipie: a sweet and gorgeous couple, a breathtaking venue and view of the ocean, absolutely amazing flowers from hana floral design, and a smart, preppy color scheme of navy and orange. this wedding really was a feast for the eyes.

I know you are all wondering about katie’s dress… it’s Liancarlo and also her fabulous necklace- that was custom handmade by Devon Baer designs from Etsy!

Your first photos have arrived. Been to many many weddings over my 87 years and I must tell you that these first shots are spectacular..I notices how busy you were trying to find alternate places for taking the photos. You are truly a genius. Who would have thought that blue and orange would work so well. Our friends marvel at your work and that of the superb florist. It was like living a wonderful fantasy dream. Yes, we will he ordering when all photos arrive. Against, congrats to an incredible job. Never a misstep anywhere..Thanks a million for all your hard work…gloria blauvelt, grandmother of bride Katie Connon…Oct. 16…
AMAZING! Katie looked GORGEOUS and I am loving how beautiful every detail was. Amazing!
The day Kate and Peter (Gordon) were married I was so excited and proud that I did not notice many of the small and wonderful touches of their superb planning. You, however, captured them all. I just watch the first and second rounds of photos so many times and just wish it was happening again…I have sent your photos to my many friends and they all write back..OMG…EVERY ONE…You have a touch and feeling which other photogs never think of. Because you made a lovely story, will forever be grateful Kate and Peter chose you and your incredible talents.
Sincerely, Gloria Blauvelt, Kate’s grandmother.
